Hello, I’m Marija (pronounced ‘Maria’). I help people reduce pain, recover from injury, regulate their nervous systems, and feel more at home in their bodies.

Every treatment begins with a thorough assessment of how you’re moving, feeling, and functioning. From there, I create a personalized treatment plan using acupuncture, trigger point dry needling, cupping, and other evidence-informed techniques to help you heal and recover.

Whether you’re dealing with an injury, repetitive strain, chronic pain, headaches, stress, poor sleep, or simply feeling stuck in survival mode, my goal is the same: to help you feel better and get back to living fully.

My approach is grounded, practical, and results-oriented. I combine traditional acupuncture with orthopedic sports medicine and nervous system-based treatment strategies to help you feel and function at your best.

What makes AcuLiving different?

Pain & Injury Recovery

Nervous System Regulation

Whole-Person Care

Personalized Treatment
No cookie-cutter protocols. Every treatment is tailored to you, every time.

Every person comes to AcuLiving for a different reason. Some are recovering from injuries, dealing with chronic pain, or looking to improve their physical performance. Others are seeking better sleep, less stress, and a greater sense of balance in their lives.

My job is to meet you where you are and create a treatment plan that supports your goals. Whether you’re looking for pain relief, nervous system regulation, improved recovery, or deeper personal growth, each treatment is tailored to meet your unique needs.

Using acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, and other hands-on-therapies, I identify areas of tension, dysfunction, and imbalance that may be contributing to pain and reduced function.

I specialize in advanced orthopedic/sports medicine acupuncture and tigger point dry needling techniques designed to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve function. Treatments are individualized, results-oriented, and tailored to your comfort level.

Before becoming an acupuncturist, I spent more than a decade working in technology, graphic design and web development. Chronic neck pain, back pain, and stress eventually led me to acupuncture—and the results changed the course of my life.

Today I combine that sharp analytical mindset with over a decade of clinical experience to help people move better, hurt less, and live more fully.

A bit more about me.

My journey towards Eastern medicine began with my own physical pain and discomfort after spending over a decade glued to multiple computer screens, deciphering code, building websites and doing graphic design.

While design satisfied the part of me that loves patterns and symbols, it destroyed my neck and back and frayed my nerves. That’s when I decided to stop everything and hit the restart button on my life. I walked away from technology and stepped onto the path of healing—and I never looked back.

Not long after, I received my Master’s Degree from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture. I was drawn to acupuncture because it views health, wellness and disease through a lens of patterns that focus not only on the body but the spirit too.

My deep understanding of energy and how it affects our wellbeing can be traced back to my childhood. My family came to the U.S. from Serbia when I was 5 years old. I couldn’t speak a word of English, so I had to quickly learn to read a room and communicate non-verbally. To this day, reading a person’s energy is my primary instinct, words come second.
